    Accomplished as of 5/31/04:
Great Notch, done Saturday, April 17. The area around the Great Notch sign by the NJT train station was cleared of weeds and there was a spring planting of pansies (mixed colors) and violets, as well as carrying of water to the site until the water source was turned on. Volunteers: Mary and Walter Wood, Bill Liess, Judith Eldridge and Bill Brown. Plant purchase funded by ABC, mulch provided by the Little Falls DPW and water donated by the NJ-American Water Co.
Sukorsky Park, done Saturday May 15. After clearing away the old to make room for the new, yellow daises by seed were planted in circles around the flagpole, with the next concentric circle with marigolds with occasional red geraniums in memory of the servicemen lost in service to the public. Then lobelia to complete the blue and gold color scheme in honor of Police Chief Sukorsky after whom the park was named. Day lilies were planted by the pump house area in the park to naturalize and beautify that corner of the park, donated and planted by Kevin Barry. Volunteers: Bill Brown, Mary and Walter Wood, Donna Eldridge, Gloria Stinelli, Rosemary Hamilton. Plant purchase funded by ABC with compost and mulch contribution from the Little Falls recycling center/DPW.
Paterson Ave., done Saturday April 17. In the center of town, by the intersection of Main street, the traffic island was cleaned, weeded and the established Barberry bushes were trimmed.
