 Minutes from meeting on January 16, 2008,
Called to order approximately 7:40 PM
Renea asked for someone to volunteer to take minutes.
Joyce Giliberti volunteered.
No minutes from last meeting in October 2007.
Treasury Report - Income $16,976 less expenses.

  • IDOL discussion.

  • Election of Officers - Renea, Mary Ann, Peggy

  • Concerts In The Park Discussion Question: Will local talent be recruited? (suggestion at end of meeting)*

  • Discussion of Fri Morning meeting with Dept of Transportation Representative and Corzine staffer.
    Transit Village Requirement - within 1/2 mile from RR Station, Have Concerts in the Park, Special Improvement district plan, Master Plan must be amended ( not satisfactory)need to bring in artist community Benefit to Little Falls - St of NJ Dollars brought in to refurbish Little Falls.
    Renea to be meeting with Re-developer, TD North and PSE&G representatives.

  • Discussion to re-join "MAIN STREET USA" (AGAIN) Fee $200.. FT person needed to staff . Vote called for. Peggy made motion,2nd the motion. Passed.

  • Discussion of DCA Grants - Planner missed attending meeting to be eligible for Grant in Feb. Town hired a Grant Writer. Question: WHY, WHEN FORMS ON-LINE.?
    Project Orange, grant for gardening, $800.

  • Hanging Baskets & Banners mentioned. Need liability insurance.

  • Membership Drive
    Letter to whole town? Page Ad in "TODAY" Church Bulletins, Ad in Communicator($100) PVTV
    Arnie to handle Press Releases. "TODAY" Will print for free.

  • Trenton meeting need volunteers 1/30 &31st, 7/29th, 10/29 & 30th.  Philadelphia 4/29 & 30th.

  • Montclair State University Relationship- need to meet with representative.  Use of Pool and ball fields for Little Falls residents. Discount tickets for theater productions. etc.

  • Use of Civic Center building for more functions.

  • *Invite Community Chorale Group and Dance Studio members to participate in Concerts in the Park.
